Californication is brilliant!!
David is great as Hank, this nights episode "The Raw and the Uncooked" was such a dysfunctional mashup of characters and personalities but shot very close to the eye of the storm that Hank Moody is, I loved it.

The Happening Happens
It has been an hour since I saw "The Happening" M. Night Shyamalan new film. While not terrified or overly frightened by the movie I have this sense of apprehension, this weird feeling like it is the most probable film he has made as of yet. It had a sense of reality but not as dark as most of his films, more along the lines of Cloverfield or a night of the living dead kind of universal fear, where you focus on a few characters not just one, but at the same time you follow one character, Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg), as he tries to save himself, his wife (Zoey Dashcnel) and his best friends daughter from something that none of them really understand or really fight against.
There isn't so much a twist but a apocalyptic vision of whats to come.
I have this sense of dread in my heart, not because I actually worry about something like this happening, but because the idea of free will being taken away in such a manner where people become so disoriented that they inflict harm on themselves rather than others.
I thought the movie was interesting in its proposal that bees and frogs aren't the only indicator species. We, humanity, can be indications of impending ecological disasters, but by then it's too late...

I am writing now as a huge storm barrels down on my house here in Jersey. I am putting it here because of the end of the movie, with the skies above darkening and a wind sweeping through the trees. I am just a bit thrown off because of the disturbing ideas behind the movie.

Bacon Chalupa
OMG, just had the Bacon Chalupa from Taco Bell. It was toasted and the flat bread was crisp on the outside and soft inside, opened enough to add my Fire hot sauce, and held all the bits together with little droppage.
Little chicken, it wasn't stuffed as full as a regular chalupa, but the next layer of crumbled bacon made up for the amount. Tangy club sauce over this mixed with the fire had a more of a savory flavor when eaten with the crisp bacon. It made for a delicious snack for lunch. I could easily eat 5, but no more.
This may seem like a lame post, but go out and buy one now!!!!

New Development in Cloning
Chimera Kids...
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/now-we-have-the-technology-that-can-make-a-cloned-child-808625.html
From what the article says the process can create a child with three parents, the skin cells used can be from anyone, have they tried more then one skin cell, why not more parents, each skin cell in its embryonic state would act as more genetic code or would it be like planting more than one seed but only one would have the chance of taking root.
And is there a species wall, would not the skin cell of another relative close to a mouse be accepted by the embryo, or would it act like foreign matter killing the entire egg.
If there are already 2 parents with healthy genes, and a third is introduced that is not as healthy (ie short guy, balding) which genes are made recessive or dominant.
These are questions I want answers to, because It is my wish to have a child part human, part dolphin

Zelda and Katsuya Terada
Pics of Classic Zelda art from Blood: The Last Vampire artist Katsuya Terada. I found these here so I have to give my thanks to Studio Jfish for this great find. He has more pics on his journal but this is one of my favorite. http://studiojfish.livejournal.com/79805.html
